 Educational Tours and Visits
As part of the curricula, the students are exposed to real-time scenario of various components of learning systems, that they get a first-hand exposure. Visit to the industries, farmers’ fields and other research establishments are organized so that students are enriched with the practical knowledge. The educational tours will make the students to reorient their thinking at a national or global level in various fields of interest.
Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) & Agro Industrial Attachment (AIA)
The RAWE programme aims to provide rural entrepreneurship awareness, practical experience in real-life situation in rural agriculture and creating awareness to undergraduate students about practical agriculture and allied sciences. The programme will help in building confidence, skill and acquire Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) of the locality and thereby, preparing the pass-out for self-employment. It also aims to provide opportunities to acquire hands-on-experience and entrepreneurial skills. The main objectives of this programme are:
Agro Industrial attachment- To enrich the practical knowledge of the students, In-plant training is mandatory. In this training, students will have to study a problem in industrial perspective and submit the reports to the university. Such In-plant trainings will provide an industrial exposure to the students as well as to develop their career in the high-tech industrial requirements
Experiential Learning Program
The Experiential Learning Programme aims for promoting professional skills and knowledge through hands on experience, building confidence and ability to work in project mode and acquire enterprise management capabilities. The programme has provided a very good platform for students to develop thinking, skilful, expert, manager, human resource in the area of agriculture, veterinary, horticulture, forestry and other allied disciplines.
